The Hoffpauir Expo is 10 miles outside of Lampasas,Tx, at the Hoffpauir Ranch at 10296 W FM 580 Lampasas. In 2017, more than 5,000 made the drive to be at the show, some traveling from Fort Worth and Houston, Texas.
People lined up to test drive a Can-Am and Polaris UTV. A tasting crawfish lunch was served and provided by Toupsie's restaurant. The crowd wandered through 20 acres, viewing boats, pontoons, trucks, tractors, mowers and more. Vendors offered everything from optics and feeders to hunting opportunities. Attendees gathered to take a few shots with new shotguns and bows, and watch bow-hunting trick shot artist Frank Addington shoot a baby aspirin from behind his back.
At the end of the afternoon, the crowd remained for drawings for a large number of prizes, from coolers to feeders to guns. It was the big prize that kept them around, though, and Randy Thorp of Lampasas came away the winner of a 4-passenger Polaris UTV.
"2019 Expo will be bigger and better," Lee Hoffpauir said. "We were real pleased with the numbers of people - they came from all over the state."
