Welcome to Lone Star Predator Calling Classic
Thanks for entering. I’ve attached the Google pin drop for Hoffpauir’s ranch and Expo grounds just in case you need it. You’ll also find the latest most updated and accurate rules for the event. The biggest questions I’m getting are: 1. Check in: There is no time or place to check in. Start hunting/calling at noon on Sat Feb 10th. Be at 10296 W FM 580 Lampasas, TX after 10:00am but before 12:00pm Feb 11th. There was a Burnet weigh-in spot on an older version of the rules. Disregard the Burnet location. Also we are currently paying Top 2, If we get to 75 we'll Top 3. 2. Foxes: We don’t care what color Fox; Red of Grey just bring the largest to weigh-in. This too was a mistake on the 1st flyer. I believe it said REDs. It DOES NOT MATTER WHAT COLOR FOX 3. Use of lights: No trolling. Lights can be used but must respond to a call to count for our Calling Contest. 4. Present to Win: If anyone on your team isn’t present when winners are announced and your team is in the money you’ll be disqualified. They can go to another weigh-in but all members must be back before winners are announced or final team is weighed in. This is due to random Polyraphs. 5. Weigh In Each member of your team will receive a $10 gift card for entering and $20.00 dollar gift card upon entering the gate If you get there before noon and check in at the gate. Last car in line at noon gets weighed. Upon entry, you’ll be directed immediately to the weigh station at the far right corner of the second barn. Take your card with you, we’ll write the weight and validate use of the card. We’ll have folks there directing you. Find some Gumbo and beer and watch the board. We’ll have tables inside the second/larger barn and under awnings of both barns. 6. SIDE POTS: Trophy Game Records - $500 - most coyotes Convergent Game Solutions- new call rig- most raccoons Twisted Oaks Fabrication- custom shooting bench or $500 credit towards a custom rack build- most head shots Rhodes Bros. Taxidermy- Mountain lion bonus- if a lion is called in and killed during the hunt they are donating either a head on rug or a pedestal shoulder mount or $3k credit towards full body mount of the mountain lion EWA is also kicking in $500 towards the mountain lion mount (if more than one happens to be killed the heaviest wins) Sig and HSM ammo will be at weigh in giving away some free ammo. There will be lots of swag and other gear given away as door prizes. Toupsies Cajun restaurant of Lampasas will be on sight selling gumbo and beverages. 7. Nikon contingency If any one person on the team with the heaviest stringer is using a Nikon Scope during the competition all of your team will win a new Monarch 3 2-10x42 scope. These have a retail value of $400 each. If the first place team did not have a shooter that was using a Nikon, then the scopes go to the next 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, etc.. ranking team who was shooting a Nikon scope. 8. Important: All Information is Required Before Contest Finally, I need to request an email address , DOB, and physical address for every member of your team. Lone Star Outdoor News is sending each of you a subscription to their semi-monthly paper. If you’re not familiar with these guys, you’re missing out on Texas’ largest, most prolific, pertinent, and best Fishing, Hunting and Outdoor publication available ($30.00 savings). http://www.lsonews.com/ Your team can also expect a birthday gift card from Hoffpauir annually. You may get some junk mail when rebates on trucks or UTVs are high. Chances are you don’t know me but I’m NOT gonna SPAM you or sell your info. I’m going to send you 3-5 marketing emails/year like Hoffpauir Expo announcements (April 14, 2018). Last year we gave away a Ranger, several guns, coolers, knives, ammo, feeders, blinds, optics and more from every one of the 100 plus manufacturers that were present. I’ll keep you up to date on next year’s Lone Star Classic Predator Calling or STRINGER contest and when Lee Hoffpauir has decided to dump inventory at cost. Just today he told me to share with some folks that we’re heavy on Yeti tumblers. He’s selling them by the case at cost plus tax. It happens; I hate unwanted crap hitting my email worse than anyone. I’ll email each team member a $10.00 gift card for entering this year’s contest too. If I’ve missed something; feel free to respond.
